A wizard has holed up in a tower in the Slugslick Swamp. Based on his choice of location, the specters, and other nasties that have been spotted near his ghostly tower most believe him to be an evil wizard. Is there glory waiting for a righteous adventurer? Are valuable treasures to be had?

By the time NAME was past the specters, the wizard had disappeared deeper into the castle. He/She trudged up the stairs after him.

Having searched everywhere else, NAME cautiously climbed the spiral staircase to the highest tower in the castle.

In the elegant lobby of the tower, NAME spotted the wizard at the top of a curved staircase. Before she/he could sprint to the stairs, the wizard summoned a pair of specters to intercept.

The specters tried to flank NAME, but she/he was too quick for them. The first went down when she/he ATTACKED it with her/his WEAPON, but the second became invisible. Once it struck with its spectral touch, NAME knew exactly where to aim her/his WEAPONTYPE for her/his final blow.

The specters flanked NAME and, while s/he tried to keep an eye on each of them, they became invisible! Between the rotting spectral touches and life siphons, NAME barely defeated them.

The wizard had been waiting for NAME. As NAME stepped into the room, magical runes on the floor flashed to life.

NAME's head swam for a minute, but the thought of all the innocent people this evil wizard had harmed gave NAME the strength to break free off his spell.

NAME's head swam as the room appeared to tilt and sway. The wizard must be defeated, NAME told himself/herself. Despite the effects of the spell, NAME faced the wizard, WEAPONTYPE at the ready.

The room crackled with energy as the wizard unfurled his long, thin fingers, unleashing a lightning bolt at NAME.

Despite the conditions, NAME avoided the blast and, with a fearsome lunge, ATTACKED the evil wizard with his/her WEAPON TYPE. Both the rewards and the glory for this victory were great indeed. The blast knocked NAME back out through the door, and s/he tumbled helplessly down the stairs. Battered and steaming s/he limped home, but not before stealing a silver tea set from the main hall.
