Armor Class

All characters have a base Armor Class of 10. For Classes that wear light armor, the larger of your Dexterity or Intelligence bonus is added to this. As with all abilities this can be further modified by your equipment. In particular, armor generally affects your Armor Class.

Armor Class checks occur more often in castles and forests.
