NAME found the noble sitting in a chair in a library with his back to the door. As she/he crept across the room, stepping lightly between the books scattered on the floor, several arrows shot out from the bookshelves on both sides!
| |
NAME dropped to the ground, her/his armor deflecting the lowest shots. Realizing the figure in the chair was probably a fake, NAME glanced around and spotted the short, spritely noble behind one of the bookcases. She/He sprang from the floor and knocked the bookshelves over, trapping the noble behind them. The king's official provided the promised reward, and the traitor got a fair trial.
|
Too late NAME dropped to the ground, and the arrows pierced her/him in several places. She/He struggled to her/his feet and spun the chair around expecting to arrest the noble. All she/he found was a hat and shirt stuffed with straw. Too tired and injured to continue the hunt, she/he took an ornate paperweight off the desk and returned to town.
