A rift to the Abyss has opened up in a forgotten gravefield at the heart of Turntide Swamp. Demons are spawning from the rift and terrorizing local villages. Does NAME have the courage to seal the rift before something truly horrible comes through?

NAME walked out his back door and into the forest. He knew a shortcut to the Turntide Swamp.

The ground became moist and the air filled with a foul smell as NAME entered the Turntide Swamp.

A sweeping short hill rose from the swamp. Rusted weapons and cracked bones littered its sides. As NAME stepped onto the gravefield a chill ran down his/her spine.

The world fell dark around the rift. The sun disappeared from the sky and hope left NAME's heart. Yet he/she knew what had to be done. He/She performed the ritual and closed the rift. The sun and hope returned. NAME turned to return home when he/she saw it - a red skinned, horned devil of misfortune. He must have slipped through before NAME sealed the rift.
The devil offered NAME a simple deal. A holy relic, a vial of angel blood, lay amongst the bones of this battlefield. If NAME destroyed it the devil would let him/her be. NAME found the relic but instead of destroying it he/she drank it. Lightning surged from his/her fingers cooking the devil where he stood.

Hoping to appease the devil NAME found the relic and smashed it. The devil laughed and sent a wave of pain through NAME mind. When he woke up all that remained of the event were bits of the jeweled vile.
