Rows of cages lined the corridor leading to a foreboding wooden door. The caged, whimpering slaves perked up when NAME arrived, whispered prayers, and begged for their release. As NAME started breaking locks, two drow slavers burst through the wooden door with weapons drawn.
|As the dark elves charged, NAME realized the corridor wasn't very wide at all. In fact, the cage doors were easily more than half the width of it. He/She took a small step toward an opened cage and, at the last second, swung the door open right in the drows' faces. NAME tied them up and freed the prisoners. Back in town, there was much rejoicing -- and rewarding.
||As the dark elves charged, NAME shouted for the prisoners to help and readied his/her WEAPON. He/She should have known the slaves would be too weak and untrained to fight, and only succeeded in getting himself/herself chased out of the dungeon. After losing the drow in the woods, he/she came across the few prisoners he/she had already freed. They gave him/her what little they could muster as a reward. NAME took it, but felt ashamed he/she didn't save the others.
